The cinematic kills are when the last strike would have killed you anyways, which means either A: You need to plan out the fights more carefully (use Killzones/chokes/traps/potions/shouts/powers) or B: You are somewhere WAY under your current gear/level/skills, or C: You need to turn your difficulty down.
it's kind of silly indeed I was fighting this dragon and he did he while i was healing my health was half full and going up during the animation :S
but it has happened so rarely I think it's mostly a case of them being way more powerful than me no way to check their stats I guess but there's some parts in the game where i just royally get my ass kicked no matter what i do while usually I have no problems in combat leads me to believe it's just a big gap in stats I need to bridge before fighting them
It is kind of annoying sometimes, I've got a finisher performed on me from almost full health. One time, I was trying to run away so I could get some health back, and the guy stuck a sword through my back. Then this guy in one quest ALWAY performed a finisher on me when he did a power attack, no matter what my health was, had to retry several times, then had to lower the difficulty down one.
Haha I love when that happens mostly because it's more amusing then the random slice slice fall to ground. Also I don't see what is to stop a dragon from picking you up and tossing you around like a little ragdoll so why stop em from using it as a finisher in game?
The player can do it, why not enemies? Makes sense to me.
Except you're only able to do it when there's only one enemy left. They however can finish you off any time even if you have a companion with you. It's unbalanced.
I was pumped when a Dragon chomped down on my guy and killed him (was around 1/3 health at that point - hadn't put any points into health either). If the attack is powerful enough to take the rest of my health, I'd rather it be a glorious end.

Untrue. I have had a crit kill/cinematic on enemies when there were others nearby. You're perceiving imbalances that aren't there.
I enjoy it. It adds another thing you have to be aware of during combat. Makes the game feel much more dangerous. It honestly sounds like some people picked this game up with the intention of being an immortal bully right off the bat.

Really...? lol
Silly AI follow the rules! > I've played VERY few games where u could actually still win a fight if you went down and a companion was still up.
Some enemies magic is very powerful too. I was reamed many times by a certain somebody, under a certain somewhere. My only chance was to sneak past, his magic attacks drained my health like mad.

I have executed people while surrounded by their buddies.

True, one thing I miss about Daggerfall is enemy sneak attacks with bows. Very dangerous and very scary, this was at high level where I could single hit to kill Daeric lords who was the top enemy.
Only time I've had an enemy get close to one shotting me was a Draugr Death Lord. Level 16ish Nord with heavy armor and two arrows would kill me. My block skill would level every time I block an arrow from him. Ended up having to not even engage him because there was no way I could defeat him.
