Has anyone ever noticed that extremely bad things happen in April? Bad things happen, they happen every months and every year but April seems to be special. It seems as though this month has some of the worst history for bad things that mean lots of deaths, injuries, natural disasters, atrocities, accidents, explosion or other crisis and tragedies.

Here is a list of what I mean:

That's quite a bit... Seems like quite a coincidence that an array of bad luck seems to happen around this month not that I am superstitious but this month deserves an episode of In Search Of or some History Channel thing on this.

Another thing about April is that it has occult significance such as Walpurgis Night.

Why would so many calamities occur regularly around this month or is this just coincidence and its a stupid idea to believe other wise?

I'm born on April 18th, and I sure am no demon spawn.

September:

1st - WW2 begins
2nd 1806 - a massive landslide destroys the town of Goldau killing 457 people
3rd 1878 - 460 people die in a collision of two ships:

and so on and so forht.

With 5,000 years of history the probabilty rate of a bad thing happening on a chosen date is higher and because of that, they happen. Nothing to do with superstitions/solace/cosmic event. Just statistics.

I could make a similar list for every other months. In fact, I once did, because someone was arguing that September is the unluckiest month. I'd actually go with that, it has WW2 and 9/11.

Two of my good friends were born in April. My parents and my grandparents got married in April, they're still together after many happy years. April is also when I won a competition that was very important to me. It's a good month.


I didn't think of that. I take back my words, April is the worst month!

I was born on a Friday the 13th in April.

Part of me wants some one to debunk this but then again it would be kind of fun to say to people, 'doncha ya know bad things happen in April'. Bad things happen in April like April is like a Cohen Brothers film.
