Ballcap with glasses : Fallout: New Vegas

Playing through from the very beginning to try out the latest patch, I'm about level 24 and have yet to see a ballcap with glasses. I check everytime I'm at a merchant, search every container and they're nowhere to be found. Without them I can't get Veronica to take off the hood.

Actually, typing that made me realise I haven't tried other helmets but most of them would look worse than the hood anyway.

Has anyone else noticed the lack of BwG?

I think there's a few roving traders wearing ballcaps w/ glasses...es...

If you don't mind killing that is.

I've seen powder gangers wearing them sometimes, and you gain karma for killing those guys.

None at the NCRCF nor on any other PWs I met (by "met" I mean killed) and all merchants so far but one are wearing stormchasers. The one exception is the ex-NCR girl on the bridge where you meet Veronica and I can't kill her, she too nice.

Got round it by giving Veronica a http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Boomers_helmet, which looks quite good on her, a bit like Emilia Earhart. Experimenting with the glasses.

She can wear Power Armour.

Why not "obtain" some of that from the BoS?

I found a pair on a corpse inside the Prospector's Den. You just have to clear out the jackals, and it should be on one of the dead prospectors inside the cave.

Why would I want her wearing power armour? She looks awful in it, I only let her have it for the final battle.

Didn't find any in the Prospectors' Den nor on Freeside Thugs but they will be random spawns.

But I've got her wearing a Rattan Cowboy hat, which I just gave her to carry, not expecting her to discard a helmet for it. It looks better than the ballcap. http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/9066/holidaynewvegas3.jpg relaxing at the Sharecroppers.

The loot off the bodies in Prospecters Den changes with every play through. There's always a guy at the 118 wearing a wasteland settler outfit and ballcap. Strangely he's the only person there that seems to serve no purpose at all.

She can wear Old Cowboy Hats.

Tops hats are way more fun than baseball caps.

Your missing the point by about two thousand miles. If one combines the "ballcap with glasses" singular headware with a regular pair of eyewar. Cassidy won't wear any hat at all. The same applies to Veronica.

Thanks for bringing it back to the point of the topic, I'd forgotten what it was exactly. That's it, the ballcap&G is essential for a sequence that gets her out of wearing headgear altogether,

How do you get her out of her default head gear? I just give her a helmet, but it diesnt look right

Can it be done with Cass aswell?
I'm on the 360.

You need two items,
Ballcap with glasses its a singular peace of headgear and any regular set of eyewar anykind shoul do, I prefer sunglasses or authority glasses.

Give her the "Ballcap with glasses" and she'll equip it. Then go back ot the inventory screen and give her the eyewar. She'll equip the eyewear and remove the hat. And you declare victory... until you reload the game and have to repeat the process again.

She's now randomly switching between the Rattan hat and the Boomer helmet.
