Ballista Mod-Thanks for including Crossbows, Beth

Post » Sat May 05, 2012 10:51 am

So I heard that they may include crossbows in perhaps a future dlc. This is great news in my opinion, because now us warriors can deal a single heavy shot before swiching to a sword and charge in.
Anyways, I'm curious as to how these models can be modified. I love the sheer power arrows seem to deal as they launch bodies in the air when hit right. It doesn't seem natural for a bow, but a mini ballista, now that's more like it. :D Anyone else excited for crossbows or have unique ideas in how to use them or modify them?

They have not been confirmed, far as i know. So getting excited is rather pointless.

We had a thread on this two days ago- its under "whats the deal with crossbows" or similar- it is a couple pages back on general discussion, it was a good thread once the mis-information,snark posts and stupidity got sifted through. Problem is now we can only speculate.

It's never too early to get ideas. The filenames are there. Perhaps we'll see some in the DLC coming out.

That's what your mom said when she found out she might be pregnent. Sorry, I'm a little tired and drinking. Yeah, but it's never too early to get ideas. It's not like I have the blueprints all set up if it comes out.
Please, how can we contact them to put crossbow s in DLC ?
I wish to have crossbow in one hand and chain lightning in other, just like in Bioshock.

That is his mission after all. I'm on the same page as well; Highly doubt they'll add crossbows.

I think it'll be two-handed, if it's added at all.

Agreed, you can't reload a crossbow with one hand.

Someone found files added from a recent patch referencing crossbow animations. I don't think they would throw stuff like that into the game files unless they are planning something serious. Also, a little off topic, but it is pretty much confirmed that TESO will NOT replace the traditional numbered entries. Pete Hines has said this a couple of times already on Twitter.

Now back on topic, I find the idea of crossbows making their way into DLC welcoming, unlike a few people who for whatever reason think that crossbows should never be a feature in a TES game ever again. Why anyone would hate crossbows like that is a baffling mystery in my opinion. Crossbows would only add variety and potentially replayability to the game, not harm the game, at least something like that isn't supposed to harm the game in any natural way, anyway. I'm not accusing anyone here of anything of course, but I have seen people make posts about why they think crossbows shouldn't be included in Skyrim, and it really doesn't make much sense to me other than the fact that they haven't been featured since Morrowind.
