Ive been playing with the Ballistic Fist for the past half hour with 30~ Unarmed skill and ive been one shot killing Deathclaws with a frontal Power Attack. I also dont have any of the melee/unarmed enhancing perks like Piercing Strike(?). With 100 Unarmed I think you could literally run around OHKing everything with normal hits. I also earned the 10,000 Unarmed damage Achievement in this 30 minutes.

This thing should use Shotgun ammo or something.

There are two Special power fists in the game, I got them both, but never used them as much as I probably should.
I got 'Pushy' which is an extra-nasty fist, plus I got a special one that pulse-damaged robots in one shot.
Should have used them both more (but I like my Fire Axe).
Also - chainsaw is awesome if you find one near the end.
Are you on normal difficulty?

I plan to create an unarmed character next, those gloves are hilarious. I wasn't even using a very advanced one!

Don't forget the Paladin Toaster. It destroys any robot and it does great damage to everything else as well.


I did an unarmed/guns person the first run and Unarmed owns. Especially with the Basllistic/Paladin combo on board.

Question...when you acquire multiple Power fists, Ballistic fists, Displacer gloves, etc...why can't you wear them on both hands? Or, how about a Ballistic Fist on the right hand, and a Paladin Toaster on the left, or some other combo?

Anyway, my unarmed/melee stats svck, so my short time with the Ballistic Fists didn't yield too much success while fighting the Praetorians and their Ballistic fists.
