In the readme it says:
The Bank of Cyrodiil (by Zarkis) has been added to the IC Market and related to the Gold Horse Courier.

Was BoC plugin modified during integration to work with the Gold Horse Courier? Or did I misunderstand that line?
The reason I'm asking is, I'm thinking of adding dialog options for larger deposits and I want to work with the latest revision.

He means full integration, as in do not use Bank of Cyrodiil with Better Cities anymore because Bank of Cyrodiil is now part of the Better Cities base package.

EDIT: And yes, Bank of Cyrodiil has been modified a bit to use Gold Horse Courier services to access your account when outside the Imperial City. Sorry, misunderstood your post when I first read it.

In the original Bank of Cyrodiil mod, you could visit a vanilla shopkeeper in each city to access your bank account. In Better Cities, you instead access the Gold Horse Courier in each city to access your bank account - the vanilla shopkeepers no longer have anything to do with the Bank. The Bank of Cyrodiil ESP itself no longer exists in Better Cities, all BoC content has been transferred into our ESM, and all Form IDs and Editor IDs have been changed, all scripts recompiled using the new Editor IDs. To make any changes to the Bank in Better Cities, you would need to create a new ESP dependant on our ESM.

Howdy, just a couple little problems to report on ver 4-9-0

When I go into the options in the menu for Leyawiin I do not receive an option to toggle Leyawiin to an open city.

When I click on the Guide to personalize Better Cities and scroll down to where it lists you can alternately type something to open the cities. For leyawiin it lists this: Leyawiin: OBCSkingradToggleQuest. But I can type startquest obcleyawiintogglequest and it toggles opens Leyawiin.

Thanks, I think we were both a little strained and worn out when 4.9.0 was released, updating the in-game menu and the player note are some of the last things done before a release, looks like we forgot one and copy/pasted the wrong thing into the other.

EDIT: After moving Better Cities - Unique Landscape Cheydinhal Falls.esp
below Better Cities Full FPS Patch.esp the tear went away.
Strange that BOSS didn't order this properly, and strange that an FPS patch would effect water?
Should I report this to the BOSS thread?

Yes please suggest moving the UL patch below the FPS patch. All BC FPS patches ought to be placed immediately after the main BC ESPs, with compatibility patches loading after FPS patches.

It isn't strange at all that an FPS patch would affect water, because the FPS patch disables objects in various cells in the city. Water height is controlled by the CELL record, and any mod which edits an object in a cell must include the CELL record containing that object. The FPS patch will include the water height from the BC City ESP itself, while the UL patch sets the water height to match the UL mod. Until BC Cheydinhal contained the Open option, there was no need for the FPS patch to touch the Tamriel worldspace, but now it does need to, as the FPS patch disables everything in the Tamriel worldspace from BC which it already disabled from the Cheydinhal worldspace.

Since the Open option for BC is fairly new, this hasn't been an issue before so up until this point the load order set by BOSS has been fine.

Strange that BOSS didn't order this properly, and strange that an FPS patch would effect water?
Should I report this to the BOSS thread?


I have similar "Land Tears" in a few spots, (bridge south of Bravil, north of ChorrolI...) just figured it was "Normal" for Oblivion, in most every case, their gone with a Save and Reload.
No idea if their related to BC or not, I Did get a Screenie of the one South if Bravil,,,

That isn't a land tear, that's an entire cell missing its land record. This happens sometimes when your game is overloaded and has run out of memory to load that land record. It's not caused by any mods, as it can occur in a game with no mods installed at all, and is most likely due to the game engine failing to fully purge the cell buffer as well as it should. As you already found out, quitting to desktop and reloading will resolve that every time.

I'm seeing that the mod has now to modify the AI packages list of a lot of NPCs to add the Open Cities versions of them. This causes incompatibility with other mods that also alter these actors (like Knights of the Nine, again). Since Better Cities has to load very low to ensure no worldspace oddities (or maybe that's just the IC plugins?), skillful tagging with Wrye Bash seems to be the only solution.

Or maybe not, my idea would be to move all those changes to actors to an .esp file that would only contain the changes to actor's AI packages lists, with {{BASH:Actors.AIPAckages,Deactivate}} tags. Users with Wrye Bash could keep it deactivated and imported into the bashed patch with Import Actors, those who don't can keep it activated and deal with compatibility some other way, but anyone who isn't intending to use Open Cities can do without it.

Well, that is my idea, I just would like to avoid having to do yet another BBC patch for Knights of the Nine and similar.

Actually all our ESPs should already be Bash tagged using the tags I was informed would ensure fully compatibility when I asked in the Wrye Bash thread (I hope I didn't forget to add the tags though, thinking about it, I bet I did, so they'll need adding in our next release).
I did also consider what you're suggesting, either placing the actor records into a separate ESP purely for OBC users, or actually adding them into our ESM (it is safe to edit actor records from one ESM in another ESM). In the end I decided not to worry about it until after I had finished making every single city Open-able, so that all actors which needed editing would have been edited.
There will not be any patches made purely to overwrite actor AI package lists, as this is what Wrye Bash handles automatically (as long as I remember the tags).

In the original Bank of Cyrodiil mod, you could visit a vanilla shopkeeper in each city to access your bank account. In Better Cities, you instead access the Gold Horse Courier in each city to access your bank account - the vanilla shopkeepers no longer have anything to do with the Bank. The Bank of Cyrodiil ESP itself no longer exists in Better Cities, all BoC content has been transferred into our ESM, and all Form IDs and Editor IDs have been changed, all scripts recompiled using the new Editor IDs. To make any changes to the Bank in Better Cities, you would need to create a new ESP dependant on our ESM.
Any chance you could post the formID of the relevant NPC refs? Enhanced Economy kept compatibility with the original Bank of Cyrodiil mod by checking for its existence and then making sure not to adjust the amount of gold received from the NPC handling the bank accounts, and this compatibility needs to be added for the BC version too. What I need is the formId of any NPCs that will hand out money from your bank account.

I did also consider what you're suggesting, either placing the actor records into a separate ESP purely for OBC users, or actually adding them into our ESM (it is safe to edit actor records from one ESM in another ESM). In the end I decided not to worry about it until after I had finished making every single city Open-able, so that all actors which needed editing would have been edited.
There will not be any patches made purely to overwrite actor AI package lists, as this is what Wrye Bash handles automatically (as long as I remember the tags).

Any chance you could post the formID of the relevant NPC refs? Enhanced Economy kept compatibility with the original Bank of Cyrodiil mod by checking for its existence and then making sure not to adjust the amount of gold received from the NPC handling the bank accounts, and this compatibility needs to be added for the BC version too. What I need is the formId of any NPCs that will hand out money from your bank account.

Some GHC branches have more than one employee, which is why there are more IDs than one per city.

As I feared, I did forget to add the bash tag to a couple of the ESP files, this will be corrected in our next release if I don't relocate the actor records to a different ESP or to the ESM.

I've been noticing some problems when I load up my game, I've got the latest version of better cities and a lot of other mods.

My problem is that when better cities imperial city is loaded correctly (so the better cities works for the marketplace etc) some of the things just outside of the Imperial city are not working as they are supposed to.

Problems
1. The Imperial city wall for the distant view isn't viewable (so all you see is a bare patch of land from far away) also the big tower isn't viewable so that kinda ruins it a lot for the distant view (I don't use the RAEVWD Imperial city or VWD Better cities, all I want is the original wall and nothing inside).
2. some of the land on the waterfront doesn't seem to be the way its supposed to be (there is tears in the underwater part near the waterfall, and apparently rocks have formed around one of the boats :D).

I have screen-shots but I'm not sure which site to upload them to. I have a photo-bucket.

I've tried with the fps patches up the top of the load order, with no difference.

First issue: The VWD of IC plugin does not affect either the walls or tower, so by what you described it serves no purpose in your Load Order whatsoever. The way your Imperial City VWD looks, though, your problem there is unrelated to Better Cities, because you seem to be missing vanilla VWD meshes there.

Second issue: You forgot a compatibility patch. UL Imperial Isle, IC Waterfront. It's in the BC archive, so there's really no excuse for this one.

Nvm I don't need a link now, I reinstalled Better cities and it installed the extra patch that wasn't installed before.
The better cities patches are installed as if you are installing better cities last.

Yes I know, I made the patches and Ismelda scripted the OMOD install scripts. You'll notice I didn't provide a link, because I told you that the patch is in the BC archive.
