Steel shield -- pretty much most blehg...

where can we compensate and OVERCOME!

Not a fan of spell breaker, and wish steel wasnt so default style, when banded iron is so magnificent.

the dark shield wall.. like a fortress of its own design. Prefer the oblivion version to the concave version.

I like the perfect legionarre mod from prometheus, but the rectangualr heavy shield, lags up on weapon switches.

That shield needs a different texture to look not like a rusty dish antenna... Luckily, for PC users, there are several MODs that improve on that aspect

I love that shield! My dual wielding characters use it as a backup weapon for the most heated situations and I even created a "spellshield" mage for it!

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120720023636/elderscrolls/images/0/0e/Auriel%27s_Shield.png is a shield. And sorry if it's not in vanilla Skyrim, but it's the best looking shield as of now.

Spell breaker looks flimsy, and awkward. If it wasn't for the magical effect I would never trust it to protect me.

wow where the hell do you get this? and how big is it? like a iron/steel shield?

i like the banded iron shield, because it is so big. you also get a nice big shield through the companions if i remember right.

A dwemer ruin called Alftand, west of Winterhold. You'll see it when you'll be looking for the Elder Scroll. A female Redguard will be fighting a Nord with that shield at some point in the dungeon.

I agree.
Took it to battle with Alduin and didn't decieve me.
