Battle against a Werewolf?

Was wondering does anyone know if you can battle against an actual werewolf in skyrim as opposed to just being able to transform into one.

I have no idea but I haven't found any enemy werewolves thus far. Which IMO is pretty annoying since Hircine is a pretty malevolent Daedric Prince and you'd think there would be some evil werewolves to slay that serve him directly. Otherwise, how can you even get Saines Lupines? Only by choice?

According to the internet there are other werewolves that can make you into a werewolf but as far as the official guide book is concerned:
Spoiler
you can only become a werewolf by going through the companions questline

Yeah, I've gotten there actually but was wondering if you could get it through contracting the disease from an enemy werewolf as well.
Spoiler
They offer to make you a werewolf way too soon as well, it's like the second or third quest that they go "Okay, you need to become a werewolf so that you can join our leaders.". And just after that other guy finishes telling you how he is looking for a cure and wishes he wasn't a werewolf :P

And by option it's become a werewolf or stop doing cool jobs for the companions :(

Unless I couldn't figure out what else to do that is...

There is no such thing as evil werewolves. Hircine is the personification of the hunt, there is no good or evil.

*spoiler here* Hircine's quest involves a Werewolf. Just go to Falkreach and talk to the couple in the graveyard to start it. You get to see a werewolf transform (AWESOME!) and you get a ring that is suppose to change you at random. I've played with it equipped all night though and I never actually transformed :/

I've only fought one so far, and it was a pretty hard fight without a silver sword. I fought the same werewolf again as a werewolf on another save though and wasted him. Other than that I haven't found any wild ones; I've stumbled across a few vampires taking up residence in a smuggler's den (after killing him) but that's about it so far.

You need to become one before you can use the ring.

you can get the disease and become a werewolf, though if you become a werewolf through the companions, you are not forced to transform into a werewolf at the full moon, like you are when getting the disease from a "wild" werewolf. I don;t know how the Hircine quest works yet as i have not yet done it, though I thought Hircine's ring only did something if you already were a werewolf?

There are most certainly good werewolves involved in the companions, so it seem to me there ought to be evil ones as sort of lycanthropic bandits as well. Perhaps good and evil are too strong of terms, maybe more along the lines of those with some measure of control over their lycanthropic natures and those that give in and attack innocents with no qualms. Surely those qualifications must exist.
