I just got the basic Battlefield 3 game in the Humble Origin Bundle a few weeks ago and I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy the Premium upgrade this late in Battlefield 3's life cycle. I am having an absolute blast with the vanilla game right now so I am leaning towards not buying it and buying XCOM: Enemy Unknown instead (which is a topic for a different thread). Does anyone even play the map packs for BF3 anymore or is the looming release of BF4 making the servers dwindle?

Plenty of players, but I suspect a lot of them will switch to BF4 soon after launch. I would wait.
