Battlemage Armor in Dawnguard : V

I was watching the E3 gameplay for Dawnguard and noticed a member of the Dawnguard had what looked like mage robes over plate armor around 2:20 in. Could this possibly be some kind of new battlemage armor, or am I just seeing things?

Maybe, It kinda looks like the vigilents of Stendarr armour, or it looks like something they would wear

looks like plan robes, don't think it is armor but of course I could be wrong.

I thought that too, but I looked at it very closely and it just looks so bulky. He's also wearing some sort of gauntlets.
But of course this is all speculation.

big characters can look bulky in robes. Also I think vigilants wears gauntlets and boots with their robes.

He's wearing standard mage robes (apprentice, I think) with steel plate gauntlets.

those are plain "apprentice robes" and he's wearing steel plate gauntlets

Those are just normal robes.

Actually they might be better version of those robes. Since they're white.
