Beard Advice

This is for guys (or you bearded ladies out there ;) ) who know about beard care. I'm trying to grow a full beard ( going Duck Dynasty ) but I have a few questions.

Should I wash it with body wash or hair shampoo or does it matter? Conditioner?

Also I have a thin area just under my chin, any tips on thickening it up? My beard is around 2 inches long now so I can make the surrounding hair hide it, but getting that area to grow better would be better.

Also my color is kinda calico, I have brown, blond, red, and platinum blond hair all mixed in, will it eventually even out or will it be my good luck beard ( I heard once calico cats were good luck so thats what I'm referencing to.)

All advice and tips are appreciated.

Use conditioner.

Not only will it keep you from having a dry, flaky chin, the ladies (or fellas?) will dig it a lot more.

Make sure to trim those stragglers, unless the duck dynasty style you're going for is "The Si".

ha exactly, with a bit of soap to wash out all the flavors that you've saved while eating ;)

seriously though, ask yourself if you want a beard or a shiny, soft patch of fluff on your chin....beards are supposed to be like brillo when they're thick, not something that blows freely in the breeze while you're doing a slow-mo walk down the street :P

If you use shampoo/conditioner it tends to make the beard fluff out some. It is soft, yeah, but looks poofy like http://www.google.com/search?q=anderson+varejao&gbv=1&hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi.

Ive had a pretty lengthy goat for about 8 years now.

Conditioner doesn't make it make it turn into farrah fawcet hair. it makes it so it doesnt look like its snowing when you scratch your chin while pondering.

There;s nothing cool about having a build up of dead skin on your face.
