Beautifying the faces?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 2:50 pm

The faces are all so rugged and bleck, I'm trying to make a pretty boy male character but it's just not happening. Anyone know of any mods/texture replacements that'll fix this?

...and here I was happy that this is the first Elder Scrolls game where I was able to make an attractive character out of the box.

Did you make a female, rachcouture? My male looks like a weathered 50-year-old and I can't get it any better than that. I'm barely more than half that age, so I don't think that's attractive... not yet anyway. Maybe in 30 more years. :P

Try checking at Skyrim Nexus. There are already 11 pages of meshes & textures mods.

I have never really thought of the males being all that bad in Bethesda games but the females have ALWAYS ben hideous, not just in TES games, but EVERY Beth game...(Fallout being the worst in my opinion...) They just do not know how to make an attractive female facegen..Which svcks because I thought forsure that they might have ben able to get it right this time but obviously I was wrong...There is only 1 female preset i like out of all of them and thats the 2nd (I think) Nord female face, all the rest are buttugly...

But in answer to your question, I believe there are quite a few face mods out already, one of which I saw that made the faces less blocky and another that makes the textures more clear looking..just look on the Skyrim Nexus

Yea seems most TES games have stock fugly characters :c so glad I'm on the PC.....

I've already downloaded Detailed Faces V2 and No More Blocky Faces, their nice but don't really beautify or change anything drastically... I also downloaded Less Harsh Dark Elves v2 earlier, which removes wrinkles and looks great, but only effects Dark Elves. And their faces are still gaunt. Guess I just need more patience and try to make the best I can for now... :twirl:

I did, a http://i.imgur.com/cyUNh.jpg, actually. I'm surprised she looks so good considering it's a Bethesda game.

To be fair, it's about time the women of Elder Scrolls got a visual upgrade, though I'm sorry to hear people are having trouble making attractive male PCs.

Indeed, I've been planning the hot Imperial bard that all the women want to be with and all the men... also want to be with, for a while, only to discover that at best, he would be at least 40. Which is cool, there are a lot of hot older men, but it doesn't help that the skin options are all varients of "hit in the face with a sandblaster." No bueno :( I actually preferred Oblivion's chargen, I think.

Thanks! Saw most of those, and one is for the ladies (!) but I haven't found *quite* the one I'm looking for yet. One of the face ones you linked I had a better look at though. I didn't realize it removed blocky features for females *and* males; glancing at the screenie I thought it was a female only mod. So that was good to catch. ;)

Totally off-topic but... I srsly hope nobody decides to visit these forums while they're tripping and then notices your avatar. That would induce a freak out for sure! :P
