Becoming a WW to access perks.

I've played the DLC for a fair bit and haven't been offered the option to become a WW. DO I need to do the companions quest and become one there or is it offered in the Dawnguard quest lines?

my friend do the companion quest if you wish to be a WW. And start from there

You can only become a werewolf through the companions, I suggest going all the way with them to gain access to the totems.
