Becoming a Jarl DLC idea

Post » Mon Dec 24, 2012 6:24 pm

Ok this one would take place after defeating Albuin.

A courier delivers a letter from a "named player." In this letter it asked you to meet him at a location on the map. When you go you journey through a cave where you face Falmer, spiders, skeletons a "named" dragon and thats the start of the whole thing. Once you get through them you find yourself in a open area where you find the Hold. Its protected by a barrier and you must kill 4 Dragon Priest. These priest are 10 levels higher then you. Once defeated the person that gave you the letter says "this can be a beautiful Hold." "I name you Jarl of this city." He gives you the name of a person to help you build it up. You well need gold to help you completely build it.

Now for the fun part. While your having it built you get to see what it looks like. As it gets look more like a Hold people start coming. You well get the option to choice a god or 2. (I would go Talos.) You also get to name your Thanes and other officer from your own followers. Plus you well have your wife/husband by your side. On top of all this you can go to war with another Hold(s) or someone else like the Forsworn, Bandits, Thalmor(which I would,) other Holds, Vampires coven, Werewolf coven, Magi coven.

Now for the last part. You can have a group like the Mage Guild, Thief's Guild or something like that.
So let me know what you think. If it was good bad ugly. If made by them there would be more Im sure of.

Even though a Thane doesn't even do anything.

So you 2 dont think this would be cool and fun? Or is it that you cant kill 4 Dragon Priest? Honestly it is a good idea. Not saying there wouldnt be any changes. Things like this can change the game. What is there to do after you beat everything in the game? Nothing until another DLC comes out for us that play it on the console. So Im going to sit around see what others think.

Dragon Priests are very easy to kill. It just sounds ridiculous, no offence. I can wait for DLC for I am a PS3 user.

Well, Jarls are tied down with the responsibility of maintaining a Hold, whereas Thanes have more freedom to roam across Skyrim and do as they please.

Although I do wish Thanes could actually take part in the Jarl's court and actually act like a member of nobility.

Don't do everything with one character. Start another one and do different things.

Besides, they have already set in stone what the last two will be and they are already well underway. We need DLC focused on Magic, the Psijic Order and the Thalmor.

They are not Dragonborn. You are. Your a hero. Think of the old story's. Jason became King after getting the Golden Fleece but still went out on adventure. Arthur became King after pulling a sword then left to find the Holy Grail. So why cant the Dragonborn be Jarl and still go on adventures? Not like you couldnt get a courier to find you. They do how ever got a tracking spell on you. lol
