Becoming a Vamp Lord if you side with Dawnguard?

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 9:39 pm

Is this ever possible? Been looking around and the information has been unclear. Seems like it might be possible after the questline is over, but they may have just been referring to regular vampirism.

Thanks.

Yes, after the quest is complete, you can ask serana to turn you into a vampire lord.

Thank you. Cool. Would have been disappointed if I couldn't have been a lord and had a crossbow :)

Yeah you can. You don't get any of the powerful vampire artifacts though.

Does anyone know of a list of what you get for each side in Dawnguard? Haven't had much luck finding a good one.

Thanks again.

Vampires get vampire lord artifacts, death hounds, support spells for undead, and the bloodstone chalice. Dawnguard gets the huskies, armored trolls, sunlight spells, crossbows, forgeable bolts, and exploding bolts. May have missed something though.

you can also become a vampire lord during a quest, when you have to enter the soul plane. But well, after that the dawnguard will attack you until you cure yourself (this last one i read on the forum)

They won't attack you if you become a vampire. They will just complain and tell you to get cured thus not allowing you to buy anything from them.

I think it's stupid, really. If you join the squishy mortals you shouldn't even have the option to become a VL. There needs to be consequences.

Ya but it really isnt as powerful as the one you get for siding with harkon.
Your missing out on so many buffs.

Still shouldn't even get the option. The Vampire Lord ability is the big selling point for us Vampires. I hope to remove the option via modding, and to mod stage four attacks back in.

I don't even see the point of becoming a vampire lord on the dawnguard side since none of em will talk to you until you get yourself cured plus you get none of the buffs from the vampire side. Its the same with the vampires if you turn back to being a mortal their comments are quite funny. Fura:"Sorry I don't talk to my meals"
