Becoming a Vampire Lord...why?

I mean when the guy offers you the chance to become a vampire lord and then he says..."maybe you need some more convincing" and he morphs into the Vampire Lord form...so? To me it looked kind of stupid and all I could think was, "why would I want to look like that?" I actually tried to pull out my sword in that room so I could just kill him then and there, but the game would not allow me to even draw my weapon...

I highly doubt I will ever take the choice to become the Vampire Lord the whole thing seems like a terrible inconvience to me, and then when the guy tired to convince me by showing me. And then all the negatives... I then need to feed, I don't like the daylight, I can't have any garlic with my mashed potatoes! the list goes on and on...I just don't get it I guess.

Why wouldn't you want a ludicrously overpowered drain spell and the ability to throw NPCs around like baseballs?

My puny Argonian mage can tank while in lord form. Incredibly useful.

You have to spend some time perking it up a bit, but when you do...
