Been refunded too much onto my card

Post » Thu Apr 18, 2013 5:09 am

I went to Asda this morning to get some keys cut, the machine broke down half way thorugh making the 3rd key so i had the amount refunded to my card.

When i got home i checked my balance and they had refunded me £10 too much. My local Asda store is too far out of the way and i probably won't be able to go back to point out the error until next week.

Will i get in any trouble or anything Or will i just be able to tell them about it next week?

Edit: i know £10 is not a very large amount of money so i don't see why there would be a problem

Don't worry about it. You won't get in trouble for it. You're not legally responsible in any way for a mistake the store made.

As for your moral/ethical standing ... Since it's a hassle and the amount's really paltry, I'd say it's okay not to remedy the mistake.

Enjoy your 10 pounds.
