I am not a PS3 owner (Xbox here) but I agree with you - I think they need to make this a high priority and give it substantially discounted or free (at least Dawnguard) to apologise for the length of time it's taken them to sort their act out.

There's no excuse. But there is a reason. It's called cutting corners with hardware. Ask Sony why they chose cheaper shared memory options. Skyrim is not the only game to suffer problems on PS3, as we approach the end of this console generation.

I feel for PS3 owners, you guys got the shaft and if there ever was a situation where at least a discount was owed its here; however, your dreaming if you think there will be a discount on Dawnguard even more so if you think your getting it for free.

Dude, it may not even be possible AT ALL.

The problem is that the PS3 shares its hardware resources. This means that it's rare to find even the simplest multiplatform game where compared next to an Xbox or PC the formats the framerate is lower.

They could give you Dawnguard and Dragonboarn, but because of the way the PS3 works it would continuously hang, or at best stutter unplayably in key sections of each DLC. It pretty bad in Dawnguard on Xbox, in places. The PS3 equivalent would be TERRIBLE.

This is all because Sony cut corners when building the hardware for their console. You really should be directing your anger towards them.

They just confirmed evidence in 1.8 that they fixed the issue that would allow them to make them work. Its was in an article

Where is this article?
If they will try to relese dlc first on ps3 than xbox and pc will never recieve fourth dlc, and I for one thing don't want to take away new content for other gamers.
And even if they will relese it ( and this will not happen) I think we should pay for it, just because you had to wait doesnt mean that you deserve free stuff, if they can fix this mess just with patches, than they deserve to get money
