Behold! The Mod of the Year!

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 8:32 pm

Rock paper shotgun has done an article on this wonderful mod, I have plans to play tonight. I've watched a bit of the video. With the latest update it even has compatability for expansions. The http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/01/16/todays-greatest-thing-ever-elevator-source/ article. The http://www.pixeltailgames.com/elevator/. I can't wait to see other rooms, but perhaps the most exciting aspect is to see what rooms others can come up with and add into the game.

I've got a -50% off valve coupon if you want to trade for it. Just message me here so it doesn't clutter the thread.

I've got to get my friends to install this, going to be so fun. As a bonus I give you the best exit from a reality show ever award. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X16G2hsVI9w

Well that was much less fun than I was expecting. Game design 101, don't break flow, for example by making your player sit in a motionless elevator for minutes at a time.

Edit: I get that that's kind of the idea, but it just didn't work for me.

"dangleboxes"

Just gotta love the Brits for pragmatic verbiage.

Erm...you know that's a joke, right?

The Germans almost certainly do call them something like that though.

It was confirmed by Teehee. Every Brit uses the word Dangleboxes.

Would be cool to get a group together for this mod though.

I don't see why everyone has a problem with dangleboxes... Makes more sense than "lift" or "elevator". Duh.

I thought it was confirmed by me? And I always tell the truth, usually, on occasion.

Reminds me of the song by Otis Danglebox singing "Baby, I've Had My Ups and Downs".

Dangleboxes?
