Hey guys,

I keep getting attacked by NPCs and animals randomly on the way to the fort at the beginning of the first Dawnguard quest. I also get attacked by all the NPCs when I enter the area where the fort is located. I have no bounties on me and I am not a Vampire, nor do I have the disease that leads to you becomming a Vamp. Any ideas on how to fix this would be much appreciated as I've just bought the DLC but can't play it due to these problems, it's really quite annoying me now...

i just got it today and went to whiterun,guards started attacking me,i drew and then sheathed my sword,didn't stop them at first ,after 3 times of that it did and the guard started telling me about the dawnguard looking for people.no problems after that

What animals are attacking you? Deer, rabbits, cave bears or wolves? It's normal for predators to attack you. You must have some sort of bounty or something to cause them to attack. Try reloading a previous save.

I think the lack of responses is that this is a very common issue that keeps coming up in the forums. Most often it's due to having the vampire disease or a bounty. Even when people claim they don't have either, it turns out they do.

No guards are attacking me in any of the cities, so don't think this will help me, but I will try doing that when I get to the fort, thanks

It is rabbits and deer that are hostile, which they arent normally (obivously)... I have checked my stats to see if I have a bounty, and nothing is showing up there. Any other ideas as to what could be causing this?
