Just wondering

explain what you mean about "pure healing mage"? Do you mean only use restoration school, or just that you will be specced mainly in that school? If you own Dawnguard there are some nice anti evil spell, sun fire etc.

Restoration is a very important skill for a mage, not just for healing but for undead killing too. It is for a Paladin build also. Like the above post, Dawnguard adds some really cool offensive and defensive spells for Restoration.

Only dedicating my points for that heal tree.

Of course i'll use some melee and fireballs here and there to defend myself but i want to divert my experience points into the healing tree

Dont know if this is viable though, has anyone tried it?

Ahh, now I see Actually I'm heading for something like cleric/paladin spec. And it has worked great thus far, I'm lv20 on expert with this one.

Can you give me some pointers in what to spend my points on, what to use and fighting undead. I want to do alot of undead dungeon crawling?

Well, Necromage is pretty much a must, to buff up those turn undead and sun spells from dawnguard. I've also ventured into the conjuration tree some too. That oblivion binding seems quite sweet (never had the chance to try it tho.) Other than that, I would say it's about taste. As I RP, I've limited myself to specific branches within the perk trees. For example; in the destruction tree I've limited myself only to boost fire spells, fire eats undead, so to say And in the one-handed I''m playing with only blunt weaponry.
