So being a vampire, you ARE still able to get crossbows righ

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 5:07 am

May seem like a very dumb question, but I'm on PC, haven't looked at any videos yet since I want nothing spoiled, and I plan on being a vampire when it comes out for us, but I want to be able to use crossbows at the same time. So I'm just wondering if anyone can confirm that joining the vampires, you CAN still get crossbows right?

Only the first, basic xbow and basic steel bolts. And you can only loot them, not craft nor buy.

I'm a vampire and the crossbow is my new favorite weapon.
It's an awesome secondary weapon/opening shot and a really fun assassin weapon.

But yeah, the advanced stuff seems to be only for actual DG members... but they need it, they're up against vampire LORDS.

They give you a Crossbow when you visit the Dawnguard fort first thing. After that, I went my merry way to the vampire side.

yep, you'll never get a dwarven crossbow or craft your own bolts as a vampire lord.

you can get up to enhanced steel off the bodies of various dawnguard you kill, and they also drop steel bolts. Also dwarven now spheres drop around 5-10 dwarven bolts so you can "somewhat" manage.

I think it's lame how there is no way to get bolts as a vampire. As an archer, I am not amused.

Well you could just join the Dawnguard for all that stuff since you can become a VL and blot out the sun, even though you joined the Dawnguard.
