Their technique opens the door to generating negative-Kelvin materials and new quantum devices, and it could even help to solve a cosmological mystery."

I find it rather interesting to be honest. That information about efficient engines makes me think that we could possibly achieve a rate of motion/energy within a system using advanced quantum mechanics to make it appear as if it is in perpetual motion. Doubtful, but still intriguing none the less.

Where I live it's going to be below 0 degrees for the next couple of nights.

... Fahrenheit, that is. But damn, it feels so cold :P.
