I will create a robobrain named Kellog after I kill him and maybe put him on hard labor. With the next DLC I will create a second robobrain named Nora with the body of a sentry bot and put the two of them into a fight.

All my provisioners are now called 'Mr Postie', followed by a serial number indicating their home settlement.

My first robot is IcyHot, a red hovering Assaultron with Flamer and Cryogun hands. And Codsworth is decked out in the heavy Handy armor, though I am bummed that he can't wear his bowler any more with the pack mule top armor.

The best names are acronyms that spell out crude words. Like for your provisioner robots, you can name it:

Fully Automated Robotic Transportation Specialist (FARTS)

a hook handed assaultron who's soul purpose is to store rum bottles. His name is jack sparrow, If only I could have him say, why's the rum always gone

I like to make Mr Handies with Protectron grabber arms then on the bottom 2 side pincers and a middle saw, name it Mr. Eden or Edenbot and put them to work gardening. I also tempoarily had 1 with 3 saws on the bottom and 2 blade arms and called it Mr. Dicey but decided not to keep it because I liked Ada's personality more. It waa a good bodyguard though.

I made one named Ginzu Bot & gave it assaultron stealth blades. Not real original with the names. It did give me the idea though to see if I can modify that noodle robot in Diamond City next time I'm able to play.

I gave one a floaty bottom, an eye laser and two melee weapons. I gave her an annoying voice and named her Gaige. Borderlands 2 lives on in Fallout 4.
