When your off on a dragon hunt which weapons and armor give you the best advantage? Please include enchantments. (P.s I put this in spoilers so the noobs can still be surprised by the armor and stuff)

Blast! Who needs armour to fight dragons when you're Deadric swords have over 300 damage. On power attack with my double wielded Deadric swords is enough to kill the toughest SOB dragon!!

You'll likely be fighting dragons across your entire game experience and your armor will improve over time. At the beginning you of course will not be clad in Dragonplate or Daedric armor. You must be patient, grasshopper, and make the most of what you have. Learn smithing and enchanting as these will take the armor you are 'given' and allow you to make it stronger over time. Don't forget the same piece of equipment can be improved several times - as your smithing skill goes up you can take the same, say, armor and rework it to make it stronger.

For what its worth I typically use slashing weapons against dragons and blunt weapons against armor-clad foes. Good luck and happy hunting.

Eh, I don't like the one million random dragon encounters anymore so I just use my bow that does 1.7 million damage to kill them. Saves time, headache, and dead npcs.

Milk drinker!

I didn't use to.....it just gets so annoying having so many show up all the time that I got tired of it. Especially when I'm in the middle of doing something.

What ever weapon and armor your character specializes in. It is worth noteing that there is a One-Handed sword called Dragonbane that does bonus damage to dragons. Dragonbane is leveled so to get the best damage vs. dragons, wait till level 46. Sadly, this can't be disenchanted so non-One-Handed characters will likely not see it as a better choice. Dragonbane + Spellbreaker (with Elemental Protection perk) will help against any dragon.

For now I'm using my Glass armour
(i dont have the deadric perk yet but soon I'll have it!)

For some reason i got a bit too attached to my orcish sword and I always use it whenever i fight a dragon.. But sometimes I use my Ebony sword....

An if the dragon decides to kill me from higher places such as buildings or while flying around me then i use either the Ice Spike spell or Firebolt. Yeah.... Depends if its a frost dragon or a normal one with the fire breath...

P.S
Im getting sick of these random dragon attacks whenever i go to Dawnstar! I mean ufh! Everytime i go there... A Blood Dragon (usually) or the normal one attacks!
Will they ever leave me alone? I know that they just want to be killed but really! Im getting sick of them. XD
Find another Dovahkiin, dragons! XD

Just stop fast traveling. While fast traveling, your character apparently runs around screaming "HERE DRAGON DRAGON COME HERE!!" because I seem to fight a dragon probably 25% of the time that I fast travel. The most frequent attack places are near where dragons roost. When fast traveling near a dragon roost, I probably get attacked more like 50% of the time.

But if i didnt fast travel then i would have to run from one part of Skyrim to the ither.. *sigh* too much running, walking ir whatever.. Im too lazy lol.. Besides i might get killed on the way and I hate dying on the way yo something so i fast travel.. Hmm maybe i could fast travel to my nearest points to certain locations to avoid the attacks.. Would that work? Or not?

Depends on what Im up for wearing that day. Sometimes, I go full Daedric armor (no shield) duel enchanted with 100% destruction and added health, one handed and duel weilding of Daedric swords duel enchanted with fire and paralyze. Sometimes I'll do magicka only in same outfit.

Or, since my current toon is a HOT Bretan chick, I'll have her in either Fur armor or Forsworn armor, duel enchanted so I can see that booty while killing the dragons.

Ancient nord armor is better for that. It shows some side boob while still being stylish. Forsworn armor is just not very flattering ...

How to get daedric swords?
Get your smithing to 90 and get the Daedric Smithing perk. Get the necessary materials and smith it.
Or,
Get Conjuration to 90 and complete the Ritual Quest to get the Sigil Stone. Get the necessary materials and forge it at the Atronach Forge in the Midden.

For me, I wear the Guild Master's Armor set. For slaying dragons, I personally set aside an unenchanted improved Daedric Bow and Ebony Arrows. I wear the Ring of Peerless Archery and a necklace with 20% Fortify Archery enchantment.
The Daedric Bow gets to be Legendary and enchanted with Absorb Health once my Smithing and Enchanting are both maxed out.

Wear Dragon armor just to look fancy and give the Dragon a message like "You're going to make for a new pair of boots!".
As for weapons, have Dragonbane for starters, it has pretty nice base damage, and of course the name says its effect. Later on you can just smith something better in base damage and enchant it.

They don't exist, sadly. (see perk name "Dragon Armor")
But if you're playing on a PC, there's a lot of really nice mods with custom Dragon weapons.

Also, buy apparel like rings, golden necklaces, bracelets and so on. Then make enchantment potions and enchant your apparel with Fortify Smithing and wear that, it rates up your weapons damage. Also make strong Blacksmith potions and use them when you improve your Deadric swords with the grindstone.

If you don't have the Fortify Smithing enchantment, find a weapon that has that enchantment and Disenchant that weapon. It will delete the weapon in the proces, but know you can use the Fortify Smithing enchantment. Hope this isn't too catchy.

Atronach Perk(30) + Atronach Stone(50) = 80% Absorb
Magic Resistance 3/3 (30), Agent of Mara (15), Breton (25) = 70% Magic resistance

Who needs enchantments?

Weapons and armor: choose your favorites/best.

Enchantments: I'll use my characters as examples (both Nords with innate 50% Frost Resistance):
Boots: Resist Fire + Resist Shock
Ring: Resist Fire + Resist Shock
Necklace: Resist Frost + Resist Magic

Forsworn armor is just not very flattering ...
Yeah it is - you ain't wearing it right. :P

It varies, depending on my concept.
Not all of my concepts are custom-enchanted. My thieves likely have a combination of Guild Master's and Nightingales, with One-handed damage enchanted jewelry, likely found in loot.

Anything that boosts my character's primary weapon type, really. When it comes to TES games, sometimes a superior offense is the best defense.

My character is a light armor sneaky archer... He uses Dragonscale all double enchanted, and an assortment of amulets and rings.... And Dragonbane - because that's what it's made for. I must be a horrible Xbox user ( well I know I am) because I find shooting anything flying around a real pita to hit. I do have some decent bows I use as well - when nthe friggin things hod still!

why waste perks and enchantments? 1 potion i can get 97% resis in fire/shock/frost for 60 seconds, and i can make as many as i want.

but anyway, i like dual weapons, they're strong as hell. over 1000 atk damage, able to use potion that boosts that by 130% for 60 seconds.
but personally one of my favourite things is my bow enchanted with paralysis. it isn't 100% chance but it def helps when the dragon just won't land, and you snipe em down just to pound the junk out of him.

PS normal game dragons are seriously waaaaay too weak. get the deadly dragons mod and THEN you'll feel a challenge (especially on hardcoe mod difficulty). you'll be forced to use all the best stuff you have to in order to win those encounters.

ALSO about the fast travel encounters, you can always use the carriage to travel between towns, and just walk to the dungeons etc from the closest towns. or ya know, buy a horse too...they're pretty cheap

I can make as many as I want as well (as long as I happen to have the ingredients), but I don't want to pause the game every time a potion wears off - I'd rather have the enchants permanently on my gear. Plus, I can carry a few rings and necklaces with various enchants on them and switch them out for whatever I need and they weigh much less than a stack of potions. Plus, I can't stand the clinking noises of all those glass bottles.
