Best game in history to this date.

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 4:50 pm

I just want to thank bethesda for the best game in history so far. I dare anyone to name one better game, there isnt one. They dont even come close.

"Demon souls will eat Skyrims face!" did that guy even play games at all?

I'm so impressed with Skyrim, it's in a league of its own, these games will always be, but the TES games has got a major improvement with Skyrim, the new engine is amazing, and it's new, so they're not even that familiar with it yet.

It's the biggest craziest game there is, and the detail is insane, I'm not even sure I can handle the mods for it. I cant believe what they've done, and it's not even comparable to other games, especially to other games on the consoles, it's like it's next generation.

This game will keep me occupied until the next TES comes out, and it can be 10 years, there will be expansions and mods, this game will allow for infinite possibilities to keep it alive. And hopefully they will even do another Fallout inbetween, and with this new engine I cant even dream about how that game will turn out.

I'm also especially impressed with the variation in armours, there are so many and they are so unique, great design, I havent even seen most of them yet. Also amazing world design and environments.

I loved Morrowind and Oblivion like crazy too, played for years and years.

All Hail Bethesda. You've done the most impressing work in the entire gaming industry/business up to this date in my opinion. Thank you! Respect.

Agreed, apart from some 360 texture bugs, this is my perfect game. :tes:

It's far from being perfect or the best game ever, but it's still very good. Well done, Bethesda.

Everyone has their opinions, and mine is the opposite. The adventure, and sense of immersion (particularly the weather effects and terrain) are excellently done, but i found the story lacking. The first act was very well done, but i thought the 3rd act was just lazy, sloppy, and anti climatic. It was a good game, but hardly the best in history.

I agree. Skyrim is definitely one of the most addictive, fun, beautiful, often humorous, and realistic games I've played. I love how after creating my perfect kitty, I literally spent a good 10 minutes catching and eating butterflies around Riverwood. Despite what a lot of people say, I really love walking into a building and seeing the AI actually doing something. Taverns are lively, shops are cute, everything flows. Aside from obvious and annoying bugs, this game is pretty awesome.

The game is very very very awesome. It has flaws though like AI, animations, textures, bugs. But they are mainly minor things that don't matter because of there being so much to do!

In Skyrim's defence, Elder Scrolls games really aren't about the main storyline. In fact, I think I would've liked the game even more if they left out all the dragonborn crap and spent more time on side-quests and factions.

You dare me to name a better game? I'll name three.

Oblivion.

Morrowind.

And best of them all, Daggerfall.

Skyrim has but a fraction of their greatness.

Not even close IMO, but still an addictive and immersive time-waster.

This game has had the same impact on me as Morrowind and OB when thek came out, ie play, play, play, play.

I like the detail, ive just made Whitrun and I felt I was in Rohan, which I guess is spot on. My wife has heard me mutter 'this game is amazing' so many times she is taking the pi ss out of me constantly. I want work to finish so I can go back to play it. I want to upgrade my PC so I can play maxed out and having done about 2% in the game in know the best is still to come.

However, having got all the ES games, the thing I am most looking forward to are the mods that will elevate this game into the Halls of Legends, starting with the new PC UI!!! BUT calling this the best game ever to date is somewhat premature. Morrowind, OB, NWN 1, Baldurs Gate Series could all have earned that title at the time due to their ground breaking achievements in the genre. Take the storylines in BG (first time in a DnD game one could be evil). The mass modders for NWn that made the game, IMO, immense. Morrowind OB, yes even OB, were amazing games. Skyrim is there with them. So far its strongest point has been the strong point of all ES games, immersion. You feel you are there. The plains before Whiterun are like the Colovian Highlands in OB or the walk from Seyda Neen to Balmora in MW, you are made to believe you are actually there. Immersion makes or breaks the game for me so in this case it makes it!

It's the [censored]. Seriously, best game of all time. Literally, the only reason I didn't play it yesterday is because I knew I wouldn't be able to stop. But [censored] that, I'm playing to my heart's content today. :D

Technically it doesn't really promote peace... So it isn't deserving of the Nobel peace prize. Although it is so awesome that I think it should get the prize anyways ;)

In my opinion, they're very very very very very very very far from deserving the nobel prize.

I wouldn't even let them near a 3rd grade spelling bee award.

Question is, its breathtaking on the first playthrough, is there replay value? Will be just as good 2nd 3rd maybe forth time through?

Is there even room for a second play through? Does the game REALLY change all that much depending on the type of character you are? I don't know, I am still on my first one!
