Dragonbone armor level 40.

That's possible?

I found an Orcish Axe at level 3 or something.

Meh.

Glass Mace somewhere below level 20. I don't really know how it happened, since that's more than 7 levels early.

1.7 seems to have changed some of the random armour generation in loot: I picked up one piece of dragon scale armour at level 18, and another at about level 25, in my last game.

ebony sword with less than lvl 20 (can't recall exact level). handy for a 1h dual wield char, isn't it... feeling slightly overpowered.

I have never, in all my 10+ characters, found a Staff of Paralysis. :(

The best loot I found around level 5 was a Ring or Necklace of Waterbreathing. Not great in itself, but when you disenchant it the Waterbreathing enchantment can net you some serious coin early on if you enjoy making money that way.

Probably a bow of paralysis that I found at a Riften merchant before level 20.

I ended up buying a necklace of Waterbreathing from the general store in Falkreath below level 5. No joke. I assumed it was something he just had in stock as a unique item for sale, then the next playthrough gave me the hard truth that I was just lucky...

Waterbreathing items are scripted to turn up at level one, yet there so rare. Also I sold the dragonbone armor from above because it didn't match.

On my current character, the loot surprises have improved. I'm assuming due to the patch, as mentioned. Dragonbone cuirass in early 20's, but of course I can't use it on this LA character. Finally, Dragonscale cuirass at around level 40-ish. But nothing to go with it yet.

I found a Staff of Paralysis fairly early, but don't recall the level. Actually, my current character has found a ton of sweet staves now that I think about it. Rarely use them, so once I got past using a follower (around 18 I believe) I just started selling them. (Note - the hired Merc Vorstag in Markarth is great with staves. Give him some good ones and he's like a pseudo-Marcurio at range and a tank in melee.)

Best "normal" loot I go after early is a Falmer Bow in Shimmermist. Just far enough to get that bow. Falmers are a nightmare at early levels, but it's the highest base rating bow that early and you only need to take out the one Falmer to get the stuff in that area. Then I go back in about 10 or so levels to clear the rest of it.

The Battleaxe Of Fiery Soul Trap, at Level One. My character went North from Riverwood, just exploring along the road, found Ironblind Barow, survived. A blow in combat also netted a set of Steel Plate Armor (no helm).

Dragonbone armor somewhere between lvl 15 - 20. I don't remember exactly. I was shocked and have never found another piece of dragon anything since (lvl 45 now). I actually found it in the treasure chest that you find using an actual treasure map. It was the one near Valthiem(sp?) Towers.

That axe is always in that barrow, on the same throne - it's a Unique, not a random item.
