Best music to listen to while gaming?

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 2:28 am

As the title says. I used to listen to music while gaming a long time ago, The Kovenant was my Diablo Hellfire soundtrack. Had little to do with it, obviously, but it just happened and since then I can't help but associate a particular album of theirs to that game. I was thinking of trying out some new music fitting Skyrim in particular, not necessarily while playing the said game, but perhaps something that would make me think of it when I'm out and about. Sometimes that kind of music has particular benefits, for example, during my Halo spells, I would listen to all the soundtracks and it would actually give me more of a sense of determination to achieve goals current at the time. Right now it's really just for fun. :) Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm currently trying out Finntroll.

Honestly? The game's soundtrack.

Failing that.
New Age Instrumentals.
Instrumentals in general.

It depends on what I'm playing, but 90% of the time, music just distracts me from the game.

I have the soundtrack, I have to give it a few more plays, but so far, I'm loving it. Although I find it a little difficult to focus on if, for example, I'm on a bus with screaming children...

It depends on what I'm playing, but 90% of the time, music just distracts me from the game.

Same with me now, which is why I'm hoping to find something good to listen to while I'm away from the game.

It has been forever since I listened to Corvus Corax. I will definitely have to test that out, thanks.

I find Tool to be very involving, I'm not sure why... Whenever I listen to their stuff, I can do nothing else, I'm hypnotized.

Music you like. That's the important part. Sure, fairly high BPM helps, but it's still far less important.
