Best way to balance combat?

Hey all, I'm looking for recommendations that will ease my modding because I don't have enough time to test and try out mods myself, I barely have any time to play in the first place.

So basically: I think the combat in Skyrim is too simple and easy. It's been a while since I last played so I don't remember all the reasons why I got bored by combat, but I would play on the hardest difficulty and then get annoyed when I could just live through anything with the right combination of potions or spells or perks.

Balancing combat is difficult to do, because it means balancing a large intersection of a variety of systems:

* Skills + Perks
* Monster + Character levelling
* Item + Potion worth and commerce
* Enchanting + Smithing
* Magic
* Stamina + Magicka drain
* The combat itself (e.g. Deadly Combat mod)
* Other difficulty modifiers (e.g. difficulty setting)

There are many mods that affect individual systems (e.g. Ace's perk overhaul), but I want a single mod or single combination of mods known to work that will revamp the combat to make it more challenging and more interesting without having to change the mods again later (e.g., the combination of mods might work well for levels 1-15 and then svck afterward). I know it's asking for a lot... but I'm kind of at the point where I want to make modding as painless as possible, and only use mods that I think are absolutely necessary (partially because reinstalling mods if I ever have to reinstall Windows is really annoying, and partially because I don't want to have to deal with mod conflicts). So what have you guys found work for you?

I'm guessing that I'll probably end up using Deadly Combat, so for those of you that use it, what leveling/perk/smithing/enchanting/magic mods work well with it? And do you allow perma-stagger or not?

Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
