Beta Codes - Are they goo to go now (still)?

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 6:20 pm

Are our Beta Codes still active for the official release?

If so, are they hot now or do we need to wait until tomorrow morning sometime?

EDIT : Ha! Are the GOO to go...

I think you missed what I am talking about. This was actually directed to people who were in the Beta. Codes actually grant people who have them early access. That's the way XBL works.

you have to wait till its officially released theres not early access and if you were in the beta i think you just have to re-download the dlc.

when new content is put up on xbox live there is a window of time where it is not available to people attempting to purchase it with points but is available to people with codes, I assume that is what OP is speaking of. Unfortunately i do not have an answer for OP.

No, because this is a software issue. Besides you can't make duplicate topics across forums.

Oh, I used the code. I was the third member to post. But it was suggested that we delete our current download and redownload upon the release. That will ensure we get any updates that would have been implemented from the Beta.

I guess I could just try, but I wanted to make sure that I would be getting the updated version.

I don't think there is any way of telling what the DLC is. The number in the bottom left of the menu is the update version. (1.6)

I just want to make sure I am not just redownloading the same one i have for the Beta.

I assume the official DLC and the beta will be different sizes. The beta's 582 MB so just see if it increases in size I guess.

I was pondering that very thing. It would almost be impossible to implement any changes without increasing the file size. There is not a mod that I can think of that has not increased in size with fix changes.

In a convo with Gstaff, he recommended that I delete the Dawnguard DLC from the beta, then redownload the DLC for free. Guess they fixed some stuff after all. Maybe we did such a good job there will be another beta

I vaguely remember that being touched on in the Beta , but i couldn't be for certain about the procedure. It seems like it was posted in his closing thread.

When did this convo take place with the lustrous Gstaff?
Have you done the redownload yet?

Can one of you try and re-download and tell us the size of the file so we know if it's been updated yet?

To beta testers, I would wait till it officially comes out then re download, but I don't you should have to re-download because I thought they were going to put a patch out the same time they released it that fixed everything...

We were instructed by Gstaff to delete our version of the DLC and redownload the released version.
