As most MMO's tie their official forums to the MMO as in same login information to both, there is no need for them to launch until beta starts and even then the general public might not see them until much later as they will then only be needed for the beta testers.

I know but a single category is not enaugh for TESO. There is so much random threads going on. They can always make beta-only topic on forums

Umm... I am pretty sure we will have forums. Like very sure. This is a non-disclosure agreement Beta. They don't want squat getting out, so there will be forums which only the Beta players can get into. Otherwise, everyone could see what they were saying back and forth, which would ruin the whole non-disclosure aspect.

Well, The Old Republic had forums before launch, they had forums since beta started at least. Anyone could join and post in the forums, but only those who were in beta could access the beta areas.

EDIT: My point being, it wouldn't be too outlandish for them to launch a forums site, possible from the TESO website, before launch.

Agreed. Though I'm keen to see how things pan out, it would be more constructive to keep things quiet for now. A large number of people are inclined to ignore the fact the game may change at this stage based on the beta testing. Where there are problems and balance issues initially, which is inevitable, publicizing such issues can be counterproductive.

It's better to play it by ear, provide feedback to the devs as you go, and leave it to them to determine what's ready to announce. By all means when they give the thumbs up to talk about specific aspects of the game, do so, but leave it to them to make those calls ;o)
