Beta Update

Post » Thu May 16, 2013 1:53 pm

Just saw this on ESO's facebook feed:

"Here’s a quick update on the ESO beta test: even though we haven’t sent a new batch of invitations in the past few weeks, we are still actively running tests with groups of testers that have been invited. The number of testers is still relatively small overall, and tests are for limited time periods at this stage.
We’re happy to see the excitement you’re all expressing about the test, and we’ll definitely let you know when we send more invites. The test will get bigger and bigger as we approach launch, so don’t worry if you haven’t been invited yet. We’re looking forward to getting more of you in, too!"

Had a feeling this was what was going on. They already had a decent pool of people to choose from the previous tests to use for the last few tests they've probably done the last month or so.

Yep.

So the doom and gloomers thinking something went wrong and beta was delayed need to find something new to freak out about. :tops:

Yeah, I think the majority of us figured out that was what was probably happening. Some vocal people though just assume that no news is bad news.

Pretty much what I figured, but man there is so much to TESO, I hope they get large groups in soon, having mechanics working with a small load on the server is one thing, but how do things work when you have thousands running around, with a campaign going on, plus time to squash, bugs and exploits, let players in and do what they do best throw that spanner in the works..LOL Time is starting to not be on thier side if they are still planning a 2013 launch, but I am not there and hope things are going as planned for them.:)

And I shall only agree on only a few points that you may or may not possible make. Then hate on everything else that I didn't agree with you with.

It's probably better to make sure the game works before the server farm is tested.

We had a thread created like two days ago where someone was doom and glooming about there being no beta tests.

Kind of ironic as there was a Beta Test session on the 9th and 10th.....

That's what Paul Sage said they were going to do so it doesn't surprise me.

Hopefully we will all get in at open beta... or at least stress testing.
