Being into computers since ever (my first was a 4MHz Z80a processor-based, 64Kbit RAM and 16Kbit vid memory, housing a 180K double-sided 'floppy drive' (read LP-player, heh, that thing was humongous) with a 5MB HDD and 10MB external industrial HDD), going through the XT age, the awesome Commodore Amigas, AT age, Pentium, Multi-Cores, in short, basically the whole PC era.
Arriving at the I7, I am simply baffled by the fact, everyone keeps making 32bit based games (with a few exceptions) despite 64bit technology has been on the market now for about 3000 years (in computer terms, of course).
The refusal of the companies to make 64bit games (and other non-game-programs), is beyond my comprehension!
You game makers force the users to upgrade their video system every so often, but the most important part of all, you simply ignore?
How can one, in all seriousness. explain this?
It does not make any sense to make a game needing video card X with video driver Y, and so to speak keep the game in 8bit!
You tell us to 'go along with the new (video) technology, but you yourself are still in the dark ages when it comes to 64bit usage.
I TRULY hope, in all sincerity, that you wisen up a LOT, and begin to follow the current forms of technology...
Seriously...

Luke
EDIT:
I am writing this post since the Elder Scrolls (Skyrim in particular) is 32bit...
