Bethesda doesn't care about PC. Just buy the Xbox 360 versio

Post » Mon May 21, 2012 4:51 am

I struggled through the PC version of this game for awhile. The mouse control and menu system became too much for me to handle so I bought it for Xbox 360 and I am mildly happy with that decision. If you want accurate mouse control and great PC support boot up some TF2,

Be a shame if a 5-year project where untold numbers anticipated it to incredible degree turned out to ruin their reputation, very badly.

Better option would be to fix the bugs, throw the development 360 into the nearest toilet, bring in a real modern PC into the lab and optimize the game for it.

Haven't lost faith yet, since I have a trait that's hard to come by these days. You know, what's it called... right, patience. We'll see how 1.2 does.

No. I refuse to play Skyrim on a console. Ever.

I fixed the different mouse X and Y speeds and other things with .ini tweaks. And after Large Address Aware tweak the game runs silky smooth and doesn't crash at all. I wouldn't want to play this game on a console.

I did the INI tweaks for vsync and acceleration. The seemingly doubled y-sensitivity with the mouse and controller, not to mention the y-sensitivity tied to the framerate, was still enough to throw me for a loop. Comfortable control easily trumps view distance and eye candy for me.

nvidia v-sync took care of that

I think was able to match the x and y sensitivity through INI tweaks, but the y-axis is still tied to framerate and even with a good system, (i5 2500k, gtx 560ti, 16gb RAM) this fluctuates enough to be extremely frustrating. I honestly believe that the PC users of this game are just settling and/or acclimating to a subpar experience.

Well I've had nothing but horrible experiences with it so far... my furthest save is so bugged out right now it's making the game practically unplayable. The performance isn't that great either, but for the most part is the non-performance related bugs that are butchering the game for me.

I just hope that the next patch makes the game playable, for the most part.

I have v-sync forced off and it feels no different than having it on.

I will try forced on with and without INI tweaks and see how it goes. I don't really have my hopes up on that.

In his case he means turning off iPresentInterval=0 instead of 1 in ini file and using nv cp to sync instead, not having both on, which will happen using defaults.

I've been playing Skyrim perfectly on my PC since release, running on Ultra with 4x AA, 16x AF and a few INI tweaks. It runs good and has only ever crashed maybe 2 or 3 times, I have a 360 so I could get it for that - but why would I, when the PC version looks and runs better? + we'll get mods and the tweakguides.com guide is coming soon along with patch 1.2, suffice to say I'm happy playing on my PC.

Can we see your specs? Can we start a running tally of the posts that flame the game by people who never even post their specs? If you're gonna complain, post your technical problems and then your specs. Maybe someone can help you.

If you play the game on the 360, you shouldn't really post in here.
