Bethesda. How about a few barbers in Skyrim in a future DLC?

Would love the ability to be able to change my characters hair and/or facial hair. Who else would like to see this?

Bethesda does like the kind of change that takes away so it is strange that you cant cut your hair.

Personally, I go with a hair style that I know I'll be fine with for the whole game because so few games like Skyrim have a way to customize your characters appearance mid-game. I honestly wouldn't care for it that much but thats just my opinion.

EDIT: Plus, I don't really like the thought of someone going from clean-shaven to a "Gray Beard" beard.

This is something people were requesting long before Skyrim was even released, way back when war paint was actually teased. I think it would be awesome if Bethesda can work out the kinks!

I know some guys that can do that just holding their breath and making a puffy face.

I would like to see something that let you change hair and paint. My characters skills change through the game. Why can't their looks change as well?

I also think the whole "You are supposed to set it and forget it, at the start" thing is a flop. Why would anyone be against choice?

That would be a realistic change...it would be a cool way to tell your characters story, starting out on their journey as a young adventurer and ending as an aged battle worn grey mane

Oh, I meant like in one barber trip.
Ex: You went into a barber shop and said "I requireth a fulleth beardeth" <-- Nordic talk :). I agree that it would be cool if you grew facial hair over time though.
I guess some people can just pretend years have gone by, but I can't really do that.

I'd like that. A special hair-do per barber or something like that.

I like this idea, change hair, beards and facepaint.
And maybe some more clothes shops (i think the only one in the game is in Solitude, Morrowind had one in almost every city)
I sound like a girl "where's da clothes shops at??"

LOTRO has this feature. I didn't know that until I visited a tavern and there was a barber standing in a corner which gave you the option to change hairstyle/beard/skin color. At a price of course and not in every tavern you will find him.

I would like to see dirt on my face to get darker during my adventures and to see my face more clear again I have to wash them. Also getting wounds/scars during a battle on face and other places where my armor can't reach would be nice.

I want haircuts too (or the ability to choose longer hair styles, as well as add or remove beards and war paint), and Bethesda's done it before with the way Fallout 3 handled them, so I know it should be possible.

Great idea. The style I chose for my character are terrible because I wanted to get into the game. But I got so far in that I don't want to start another one for cosmetics.

I like the idea of accumulating dirt and grime and the ability to remove it. Also adding and removing warpaint would be terrific. Get all pumped up for that big battle or raid! Lets keep this up at the top of the forums perhaps Bethesda will take notice. It's already in the tech. they have from the Fallout games. Would be a very cool addition. I like to make my character look like myself and when (or if) I shave my beard or get a haircut I like my character to have the same look. It's an immersion thing but it would be very, very cool.

You know that haircut with the large ponytail on a bald head? What orc females often have? It would fit my nord dual sword fighter perfectly. Maybe you could get barbaric styles like that in a stronghold for example. The orcs see me as family, so i would love to look like their family (not litteraly, i am not green with large tooth.)

I'd like that. A special hair-do per barber or something like that.

But you have to do a quest for the barber, otherwise the special 'do is off the table...

Barber: "If only I still had that magic bottle of ancient Nord styling product, I could make you look just fabulous. But it was stolen by bandits last month when I was out collecting ingredients for the Jarl's weekly henna rinse. Damn fool thieves probably don't even know how valuable it is."

You: "I could get it for you."

Barber: "You could? Rumor has it they're holed up in Cowlick Cave. If you bring it back to me I'll be forever in your debt."

*cue momentous music of quest giving and accepting*

STARTED: YSGRAMOR'S MOUSSE

Now get out there and find it or you'll have to choose from the poster on the barbershop wall just like everybody else.

I'd like to see some kind of barbershop feature.

Other games let the player change their pc's appearance mid-game, so why can't Bethesda allow it?

I personally think you should be able to change everything about your character besides race after you start the game. Not that I would, I like my character, but it would be a good option for those who get really far into the game and realize they don't like how their character looks. If anything, being able to change hair, face paint, complexion, and dirt would be good enough for me.
