Bethesda: King of the RPG.

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:16 am

It's time somebody said it. Bethesda must now be named King of the RPG. Or Queen, if that's your cup of ramen.

Note: I'll have your gift basket fed-ex'd to you. It's a small altar built out of used Q-tips, spent wal-mart gift cards and floppy disks, autographed by a Keith Richards look-alike. That's...all I could afford. Congratulations!

Bethesda is the best game company in the world, in my opinion.

Bethesda (for TES and FO3) and Kojima (For making the MetalGearSolid series. i know MGS isn't a RPG, but the series, and thus the Devs, are awesome) are the best.

It's been said that Bethesda makes good settings and bad plots, and Bioware makes good plots and bad settings. I think there's something to be said for that. That being said, gamesas respects their customers a bit more than Bioware has lately so they win out.

Definitely agreed.

No offence, OP, but what is the point in this thread? You know who will win.

Honestly, if you can't rub someone's melon right you may as well not touch another man's rhubarb.

I was secretly rooting for Ben's Army and Navy.

/Thread.

I mean, I love and am obsessed with Bethesda as much as the next person, but... You gotta give Gygax his d20 dues. Tamriel might not have existed at all if it hadn't been first conceived as a DnD campaign. All modern-day western RPGs owe some form of influence or guidance or direction from the old standard of tabletop gaming.
