Bethesda please add cross hairs to mounted bowcrossbows

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 1:22 pm

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in that I found it confusing to tell where my arrow was going to go at times, with some practice I kind of got the hang of it(depending on the angle/slope) but I think a cross hair/reticle alone would help greatly.

Also let me know if I should have put this in the "Skyrim General Discussion".

I have one when I use a bow/crossbow on horseback. You must be glitched or something?

Yeah for me it works for bows but not crossbows. Fortunately I was targeting a bear so I couldn't miss. Pretty sure it's a bug, and it svcks.

This is a bug that was identified in the beta but evidently not fixed.

Seems like every reported bug discovered by the beta was left broken, so what was the point of the beta again?

Can we get a list from the beta members about what WAS fixed, or does that violate the NDA?

I have to ask. When you get sent into orbit by a giant, do you scream "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off agaiiiiiiiin!"?

I'd prefer an Iron Sights style aiming mechanism for the Crossbow myself. It'd be nice if that were available.

Also, its not really related, but how about making bolts via the forge? We can do arrows now (finally, and thanks Bethesda), but what about bolts?

You can make bolts via forges (if you're Dawnguard faction).

Not for me. I'm with the Dawnguard, and I don't have it available.
Was it only at Fort Dawnguard? I checked in Whiterun and it wasn't available.
I didn't see a forge in Dawnguard. If you can do it anywhere, maybe its just buggy for me.

There's a forge in Fort Dawnguard. Speak to the people around it and they offer side quests for flame bolts etc.

You have to have the steel smithing perk if you want to smith steel bolts

Have you done the Dawnguard side quests? Each time you collect the ancient dwemer secrets or whatever for that one chick... (oh gawd I'm lacking specificity)... she should teach you how yo create the various bolts and you can then smith them anywhere.

When you walk straight into Dawnguard and you walk into the dining hall, turn left and go all the way down to the end -- there will be an enchanter, alchemy table, and smithing tools. The forge just outside, before the fenced in area for the armored trolls.

I have to admit I did say that once when Serana got launched, quickly followed by "Wait, oh my god no!"

Thankfully because she is immortal all you have to do is wait a hour and she'll be back...
