Oh Bethesda, you've done it again.

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 9:15 pm

Hmm... Welcome to my thread everyone. Let us take a look into the past and see what Bethesda has done with the PS3 versions of FO3 and Oblivion. I know they didn't make FO:NV, but I am still going to blame them. :) So lets see here, FO3 was extremely buggy for me, at least, and had multiple amounts of frame rate drops in random areas. Same with Oblivion, and NV. I'm not surprised Skyrim isn't any different. But I AM surprised that Bethesda can just sit there and act like, Oh, don't worry everyone! We are going to release a patch IMMEDIATELY!.. This is good to hear, yes? Well in the eyes of some it is. I'm happy that they're going to fix their near-broken game, but I am not happy that they're acting like Douglas MacArthur. They tell us that they are really going to make the PS3 version special, well ain't that the truth. They also talked about how great the game will be on ALL platforms. They knew what was going to happen, and now.. They want us to believe that they are our saviors.. You know what I have to say to that? -BLEEP- You Bethesda! You NEED to start putting EQUAL amounts of work into the games that are being released on ALL platforms. Skyrim isn't GOTY material, Why? You might ask? Well I'll tell you!.. Skyrim CAN'T be GOTY no matter how many awards it wins simply because of the PS3 version of the game. A UNFINISHED GAME IS NOT GOTY MATERIAL. I expect, Skyward Sword, UC3, Batman Arkham City to be the top competitors for GOTY. I'm not sure if any of you agree with me on this post, but please if you do, tell me.. Because Bethesda REALLY needs to learn a few things about their ENTIRE community.

What an original and insightful topic. It's refreshing to come across threads in this sub-forum that offer an entirely new take on this whole situation.

/Not surprised I am getting a reply like this and probably more.

If you like the game and everything about it, that's great. Go defend Bethesda's so called "work" elsewhere.

Uh, no, my game is broken too. But it would have taken you all of about 30 seconds to scan through this forum and notice that there are hundreds of threads which say exactly the same thing as you've just expressed.

Yes well, Todd needs to fully understand the amount of grief. Therefore, the more unhappy threads, the better. At least in my opinion, anyway.

That's where I stopped reading.

They have made the patch. They said they are not changing the patch. They have told us it will fix the lag issue. For better or worse, it is now out of our hands. There is nothing we can do until the patch comes in a week or so. If the patch comes and it doesn't fix the issue, THEN it is time to complain. Until then, complaining serves no purpose, even if Bethesda did read this forum- which they don't.

What are you talking about, complaining makes no difference?
Of course it does! If no one complained Bethesda would sit back and do nothing about the situation because, as far as they and anyone else not affected were concerned, there would be no situation.
Or do you think once one or two people complain everyone else should shut up, sit quietly with their broken game and just accept that they've been scammed by the same company AT LEAST 4 times in a row, and say a prayer they'll take pity on us and fix their broken game?

The more people complain by contacting customer support, posting threads and doing what they can to draw attention to the situation, the less likely Bethesda can pretend there is no problem and get away with what they've done, as evidenced by the fact they were denying the was any problems until the forums started lighting up with complaints.

Tell me what you have done? Have you complained? If so what gives you the right to say other people should'nt?

Please think before you post to avoid saying things that don't make sense.

You could have saved yourself a lot of time by reading my post properly. I said that it makes no difference NOW. It DID make a difference, but for now they've made a patch and we can only sit tight and see what it will do. They aren't going to recall and alter the patch- either it will fix it or it won't. And as I say- if it doesn't, THEN is the time to start complaining again.

Ps3 Oblivion was fine for me. I bought the Greatest Hits version and there were no game breaking bugs, lag or vampire cure glitches.

I have to agree with this topic,

I too feel like I was misled and and ripped of by a horrible company who sells broken products,I mean look at Fallout3, alot of bugs and game breaking problems same with Oblivion and new vegas, and always on ps3. now I know that Bethesda is putting out a patch but I'm not gonna wait a whole other week just for that [censored].I already took a 60 dollar loss so I decided to trade in Skyrim A.K.A [censored]tyrim.and I probably won't buy anymore Bethesda products and to top it all of everyone I know either returned or sold their copy's and isn't going to support Bethesda anymore.Bethesda [censored] you.you should rename your company to RIP OF GAMES INC
