This replaces the default rain drop texture with a texture which is more visable in game.

Installation: Drop the Data folder from the .zip into your Skyrim folder.

I have made:
fxraindrops.dds
fxraindrops_n.dds
fxraindrops_g.dds

For maximum visability.

I had made a 1024x1024 version but I found the rain drops were still too hard to see. So I resized them to 512x512 resolution textures so that they would be more visable.

You can use this in your mods how ever you want. I make simple rain replaces for every game I play so I dont care what you do with them. Just enjoy.

P.S. Just waiting for a good weather mod to come out that produces more rain particles in bad weather, as right now, even in a heavy rainstorm it barely drizzles.

I uploaded a sample of the texture to the Nexus download.

Couldn't you increase the density of the raindrops in the texture to make more particles appear?

I'm not familiar with how the precipitation particles are set up, so I may be thinking way wrongly.

Thats not how it works.

I have allready added 4 raindrops to the texture. If I added any more it would just look like square sheets of rain were falling from the sky.

I've updated the texture.
