[IdeaReq] Bettermore alchemy recipes

Post » Sun Jan 06, 2013 8:42 pm

So I was thinking about a new character I want to make and it occurred to me that the whole “buying alchemy recipes from merchants” feature is either a bit pointless, or really lacking in usefulness.

As far as I am aware, there really aren’t that many recipes you can actually buy from alchemists (and maybe general goods merchants) or they’re just too rare for it to be a helpful feature. I mean, for a character that maybe doesn’t start off being good/really into alchemy (RP wise) and wouldn’t just start eating everything he/she saw to see the effects it had, the idea of buying recipes for common potions and poisons seems like a really good one.

Anyway, I was thinking that maybe, if possible, someone could make it so that when you read a recipe it actually gets added to your list of known recipes in the alchemy crafting menu. It could also add the effects from that recipe’s ingredients to their respective “known effects”, again, if possible.

Secondly, like I said above, there really doesn’t seem to be many recipes available at shops be it due to the fact only a few actually exist or they’re just rarely stocked. If either of those are true (which I’m actually not 100% sure about), it would be really awesome if someone could add a few more common recipes (potions and poisons) to the merchants’ lists.

Right, sorry if that was a bit long but yeah, just wanted to make my point very clear and maybe give you an idea of how I’m thinking about this. So yeah, please let me know what you think and maybe if you’d be interested in taking on any of these requests.
Thanks,
Gonk

P.S. If something like this already exists I'm truly sorry you may have had to read all that and a link to said mod would be much appreciated!
