Having played both games, I feel I have an objective opinion. That opinion is that Dishonered is a great game and Bioshock Infinite is a bit crap. Not terrible awful crap, but still, in comparrison, crap. Sure the game starts well, seeming a little like an interactive acid trip with wierd locations and pretty colours. The atmosphere is rich and the themes mature enough to engage you emotionally. Unfortunately, when the combat starts it disapponted me totally. Where in Dishonored you can weigh up the situation and plan a strategy, in Bishock you are simply thrown into endless chaos. The weapons feel unsatisfying to me and most of the Vigors /plasmids/powers are largely redundant. I went through the entire game using only possession and shock jocky (don't ask if you haven't played it) As for the other powers, I found it hard to guage where one is more benificial than another. The tactical side of the game is slim. Where in Dishonored, you are presented with situations that you choose how to solve, Bioshock Infinite runs you on rails through the story. There is no stealth whatsoever in Bioshock and little exploring or variation to the play. Sure it's a good game, Just not nearly as good as all the hype would have you believe. And my motive here isn't to troll a game I don't particularly like. I just know that Dishonered is the better game, and by some margin. It is more engaging, more satisfying and far more deserving of the Game of the year award. To sum up, I have played through Dishonored three times and it will stay installed for a good while yet. Bishock I played through once (And it became a chore) and will be deleted without hesitation. Dishonored 9/10 Bishock Infinite 6/10, and I'm being kind.
