no birds?

I am on the PC, I've seen a hawk or two, tried to hunt them with my bow... didn't notice I was walking towards a waterfall.

I was wondering this myself. Some people seem to have lots of birds. I've only seen one hawk at the start near Riverwood and shot it. I've now played for over 30 hours and not a single bird since. Could this be a bug?

ye some birds near Riverwood..the rest of the world is empty in the sky (except the dragons) :P
