I've seen this rumor before... but it seems to have a driving force.

These are just a couple of sites... They're all basically saying the same thing as of now.

How 'bout you go ahead and type out some of what ever it is that those websites say so I don't have to go clicking on 'em. What do ya say?

I don't think Bethesda trademarking "Redguard" has anything to do with a DLC. That's just protecting their property. Remember, there already is a game called Redguard, but it's a spin-off. Which is actually mentioned in both articles.

The issue with Dawnguard and Dragonborn was that the "rumours" were based on files found in patches. No such files exist for "Redguard."

Hammerfell could easily be a place for a kill-the-Thalmor DLC.

A change of scenery for once? Sign me up!

Although at this point, what purpose would anything relating to Redguard(s) serve? Just an therebetween like DG? By therebetween I mean DB plays into the entire purpose of being Dragonborn, where-as DG really doesn't, at least to me.

The next DLC expansion for Skyrim could be titled 'Redguard', it has been rumored.

Zenimax, the publisher that owns Bethesda Softworks, filed a trademark for the title Redguard back in March 2011

The trademark is making news now because it will expire in February 2013 if Zenimax does not declare a use for the title. With an impending expiration, rumors began circling that it will be announced as the title for Skyrim's next expansion.

However, Zenimax also has the option to file for another trademark extension. The firm has already done so twice since the trademark was originally filed, most recently in August 2012.

Redguard is one of the races in the Elder Scrolls series which come from Hammerfell, one of the nations bordering Skyrim.

With the 'Dragonborn' expansion taking players into the bordering nation of Morrowind, it would make sense for the next expansion to take place in one of the other nations on Skyrim's borders.

Of particular note is the city of Dragonstar in Hammerfell which, according to Elder Scrolls lore, has been a site of conflict between the nations of Skyrim and Hammerfell.

The trademark is not the first time the series would use 'Redguard' in its title. In 1998 a third-person spin-off of the series was released titled The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard.

Skyrim's 'Dragonborn' DLC released last month on Xbox 360, and will be available later in 2013 on PS3 and PC.

I heard these rumors also. I'm not exactly sold, but I won't rule it out either.

True, but the more they get right the more people who will believe them next time even if they're making something up.

I didn't really give the sight a good looking over but I do remember when someone posted all about Dragonborn it came with exactly how it was discovered in the coding. Does this one detail where the new DLC info is and how it was found? The first time we're not skeptical is the first time they'll be lying to us about stuff.

here's something to consider; they're gonna start dishing out the remaining DLC pretty soon... Come the next E3, we'll be seeing the next gen consoles come to life--- that usually spells DOOM for current game sales.

I swear MS said that due to chip issues, the new console would not be unveiled at E3, nothing until at least 2014?

Redguard is kind of an awkward name.. it's the name of a race. I won't totally rule it out, but it seems pretty unlikely. Hammerfell makes sense as a destination, but the trademark was filed quite a while ago.. if it is the DLC, it's must be fairly large.

Yes, this is exactly what my post below was trying to say. When Dragonborn rumors came out it had all sorts of junk backing it up so rumors quickly turned to speculation which became facts and future content.

If were basing this almost solely on the fact they trademarked the word Redguard I think we're jumping the gun a bit. Plus Redguard would be a very uncreative name for a DLC.

That'll just be nothing more than discussion on future consoles. That's a long way off to say that will effect current game sales. It's something we don't need to worry about right now.

I didn't say Dragonborn was very original. Dawnguard was a pretty cool name though and Hearthfire was the TES equivalent to the calender month in which that DLC released, which was September.

If Redguard isn't it though, we have to expect some new trademarks to be filed soon. Dragonborn was filed 7 months before release, Dawnguard was filed 5 months before. This seems to lend credence to the Redguard not being DLC thought, though. Why would they trademark Redguard so early if this was Skyrim DLC?

Perhaps, or perhaps it's been a DLC that has been in the makings ever since Dawnguard was planned. I mean, if it were Redguard and we went to Hammerfell, we're talking completely new terrain here, buildings, weapons, etc... Dawnguard probably was released first because it was the easiest to create, Dragonborn secondly since it had
