Bkue Mage Robes, change.

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 8:36 am

There anyway to edit these Blue Mage Robes ( Blue Mage Robes 000d1f3b ) in the CK to be the Hoodless version?

It seems to be a Template, when I tried to actually change the base to Hoodless version it didn't work. I disabled the Template, changed it to the Hoodless version, then made it a Template again. Saved it into a esp, loaded it, they were still all Hooded.

Thanks for any tips.

I would post this over on the MODs board, if I were you.

Seems to be more modellers there than in here (we're all just sad-geek coders in here!) ;)

Doh, I must be doing something wrong, doesn't seem to take effect.

Tried using the NoHelmet mod esp in an effort to keep them all in one esp. It turns out this is what he did in the mod, but it still shows the Hood, even when I load NoHelemt last in the order. I don't think it's another mod overwriting since all the other NoHelmet edits work. Really odd, I also tried again to change the template from the bluehooded to bluerobe.

Going to try to start from scratch.

just find any hoodless robe, make a new texture set with the blue robe textures, assign this to a copy of the hoodless robe, done.
or, if you want it to be a replacer for the original robe, assign the hoodless-model to the base item instead of the original one and retexture this.

edit: oh, should have scrolled down before posting :-)

Thanks for the replies Amethyst Deceiver and s7o.

Yes, I tried it both as a single esp, with only the edits you mentioned and then when I tried to add it to No Helmet.esp I noticed he had already done your suggestion in his mod, but it wasn't working either no mater if it was Load Ordered by BOSS or loaded last.

Yes, it's really odd thought that would have fixed it too.

First I thought the reason the change wasn't showing up, was some robes had already spawned. Possibly only a NPC I haven't met yet would be effected but I've had No Helmet active with these changes since the game was started over 70 hours of gameplay.

i dont see what the problem is. i loaded the CK and did exactly the way i described. the only thing i forgot to mention was to uncheck Hair and Circlet off of the biped object list (that will make it so the hair doesnt disappear when equipped)

i coc'd a random cell and used console to add d1f3b. works perfectly fine for me.
