I seen some NPC's with that before but can never find it again.....
I was thinking wtf.. all over the wastelands..
wondered if anyone can help me find this STUFFF
If you havn't noticed I love The Shade Black......

I think its ranger vets from bah ha or somthing I dono but I need some advice on this!

Yeah, it only appears on rangers, so you'll have to sneakily kill one.

Once you reach a certain part in the storyline, those Veteran Rangers in black will start showing up at most of the Ranger Stations.
There will be a couple at Camp Golf for sure.

They start appearing around like level 21 at ranger stations. Try sneaking c4 into their pocket then detonating when hidden.

You can always make them equip another armour (have to be one with higher DT) then steal ranger armour from their inventory. Was not trying, just suggestion. I was able to obtain like that other types of gear ...like ranger hat and dress from sniper in Mojave station. I let her equip standard NCR troop armour and helmet.

i saw one at level 12 at the ghoul ranger station

they appear after you complete the two quests given to you by the NCR Ambassador (forgot his name, it's like Cromwell or something, too lazy to look it up :whistling: ); they will appear at most NCR bases, and especially at the Ranger Stations (Delta, Bravo, Gulf, ect). The characters who wear it are non-unique npc's called 'NCR Veteran Ranger'', kill them sneakily (I normally do it at night time, with a sniper rifle that has a silencer mod on it; wait until any patrolling rangers are looking away, go up behind the Veteran, sneak, wait until hidden, then V.A.T.S. the Ranger in his/her head using Armor Piercing rounds - one shot kill, no witnesses). You can also get some high-level gear off of them besides the armor, such as Anti-Material rifles, Brush Rifles, Ranger Sequoias, ect.

I think probably the easiest way to get it is to go to Forlorn Hope. There are Rangers in sniper platforms that are out of visibility range of other NPCs, and they are easily stealth killed.
