Anybody had this happen? I was able to enter the strip for a quest then I left after and I did some other things and then I try to enter today and nothing just loads for a bit then just goes silent and I get a black screen? Anybody know what happened? This is my first play through.

This sounds very stupid and I thought some one was screwing with me but it freakin works. Go to the Crimson Carivan and buy the Old Cowboy Hat. Put this hat on before you enter the strip and no more black screen of death. Pisses me off some thing so off the wall actually worked. I found this on a google search.

I'll give that a try. I wonder if anyone has tried going in via monorail with the old cowboy hat? Ill come back with the results.

I never ever had an issue untill I got to the end of the game (right before the end game quest), and now I have major freezing issues around the strip. The only way I can get into it os via the monorail. Very weird. It still freezes usually when I try to go through the doors for other parts of the strip. Is this the bug that the cowboy hat willfix. I ask because I don't always get the black screen.

I also Have this problem, this svcks. I Always get black screen when i enter the strip, But i will try to buy the cowboy hat. But the game shall NOT have some MANY bugs! This is bad, i did NOT pay 600 NOK ( 100,13 Dollars) For a game that won`t function right... Did the comapany even care to try the game before they released it out ? I have also found plenty off bugs when i traveled around the wasteland too. Im tired to be afraid when the next time the game will skrew up my playing game. Over 65 hours of playing has gone to waste because of all the bugs in the game... And then i meam when i finaly came to the strip, because of the bugs. i cant carry on with the game quest.

Ok, now I am completely stuck inside the Gomorrah. At least I could still play before. I tried going out to the courtyard and fast traveling, but it doesn't allow it from that location. What a let down.

I cant go into ATomic Wrangler because of the black screen to do a quest

Ok the "old cowboy hat" works on top of that I went in through camp mccarron. so if you cant get in try that.

The problem with crashing in vegas does seem to be related to the quest regarding the guy in the cowboy hat outside lucky 38,i shot him,then everytime i exit 38's the screen went black and the game crashed out.After viewing a helpful gamers advice on this site,i decided to choose a different save point (before i shot the cowboy) and see if that resolves the issue,abracadabra,hocus pocus,it bloody well works! I've had no issues with crashing (in vegas only!) eversince.This game has more bugs than an old house has woodmite and what get's my goat up more than anything else is that the developers are still selling the game with no mention of the problems millions of us are having to suffer like it isn't an issue.They should be ashamed of themselves.Wan@!%:rs.
