Blacklight: Retribution

Blacklight: Retribution, I didn't see a topic on this game, and I found it rather good. Its an FPS set in the near future. The action is fast, furious and frantic. While it has a progression system (like Tribes), it doesn't feel too biased toward higher level characters. The items you buy/collect aren't pure upgrades, per se, but more of "sidegrades" like you sacrifice speed for HP, or damage for bullet spread, among others. You can build your own guns, too! This has a very deep customization to it. Guns have so many stats to keep in mind. I've had more fun with this game than I've ever had with COD.

"This is not only a great example of a professional and credible free-to-play game, but it's also one of the best first-person shooters I've played. I am quite serious when I say that, too. This game is a serious FPS contender, and its freemium status should not diminish your expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend you jump in and give it a try. It'll cost only your time to give it a whirl, and I am certain that it'll be time well spent."

Looks interesting, and free to play.
I will return later after I've run some proper tests, but hey it's free so...

Yeah, that's the best part: it's free! The only thing I've noticed that you HAVE to pay for are purely cosmetic: some uniform and weapon camo. Oh and the "hero" characters, but those seem pretty meh actually, and are quite balanced.

Yeah it has a pretty cool system of being able to rent weapons for ingame currency, so you can get a good weapon right away. Keeps it balanced against paying users.
