So i notice something in Skyrim that the Blade faction that was killed off by the Aldermi Dominion are like the Jedi of star wars now here is why
1.they were killed simultaneously(shadow war's basically the Jedi did something similar when they were trying to figure out who was Darth Sidious)
2.the Blades were a threat to the Dominion's plans(in Episode III Palpatine consider the Jedi a threat to HIS plans while he was just one man he had his army to protect him and carry out orders to the letter)
3. Sky Haven Temple is their base of operations in Star Wars the JEDI TEMPLE was their base of operations even though it's off by two words it is something to think about(when you look inside the temple it seems barren and in Episode III the JEDI TEMPLE was also in a similar state minus the bodies)
4.The fact that the blades have a library containing a lot of knowledge was in fact destroyed when the Dominion invaded now when the 501st legion attack the Jedi temple in Episode III they destroyed the temple's library to make sure that kind of knowledge never sees the light of day

NOW DON'T COMPARE THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR WITH THE BLADES: Sure they are similar both orders were big and had connections but it all comes down to the fall....the Blades were eliminate by the Dominion (a kingdom faction) while the Templars they were brand traitors throughout Europe and were killed by the Spanish Inquisition(a faction)

Eeyup, it is an interesting comparison I guess. But I am sure one could find about 50(or maybe more) other factions in different fantasy lore that would fit just as well if one know where to look.

The fact is that just because they were killed of simultaneously(1) because they were a threat to x faction(2), that they have a base of operations(3) and that they happen to have a library of knowledge(4) isn't something unique to the Jedi order and the Blades.

Templars were disbanded by Pope Clement V in 1312 under heavy pressure from King Phillip IV of France who owed them lots of money and was jealous of their wealth and power. Spanish Inquisition wasn't even created until 1480.

Interesting comparison, I will have to disagree though.
The Jedi don't let their emotions cloud their judgement, something the blades do.
They seem to carry hatred towards the dragons and are pretty stubborn about that, all dragons have to die it seems.
If we look at the Jedi way of thinking, I'd say that the Greybeards are closer.

The dovahkiin uses "Force balance push", the very first word you learn in Skyrim is Force. OMG it's totally starwars!

Blades were formed from submission and wild beliefs and blood thirsty hunters who also INVADED Tamriel...


the jedi Library contains knowledge from nearly everything everywhere (as best they could) the blades library was just about the blades and some piecemeal information here and there.



me thinks your comparisons are far to easy and could be done the same with other series/games.
the Blades serve the emperor and the emperor alone, the jedi serve/protect the weak/themselves and are not a employed force and hold allegiance to no one group.

It may have taken 20-odd years, but Anakin's plan was always to kill Palpatine/Sidious. It could be argued that he was a Dark Jedi, rather than a Sith Lord

"Always" is a stretch. He had no plan, certainly not at the beginning.

I always thought the Blades were sipposed to bo based on Japanese Samuri because of the armour desoghn and the Katanas.

But now I want to kill a dragon with a lightsaber!
