I've run into a problem that seems like a genuine bug. After killing the Draugr Scourge Lord at the end of Bleak Falls Barrow, I can't loot his body! So, I'm stuck without the ability to complete the "Bleak Falls Barrow" quest. Some other details, in case it helps:

- I've tried reloading a killing him in a number of different ways to no avail.
- I successfully got the Word from the wall before he climbed out of his tomb to attack.
- I'm level 22, a Thief Stone argonian
- I didn't do this quest immediately when I left Riverwood. I just came back to it after doing a bunch of side quests in and around Whiterun
- One of the Whiterun quests (for the companions) ended with the acquisition of a Word, so the Bleak Falls Barrow Word is #2 for me

I assume this isn't happening to everyone; I've only found one other mention of it, on a different forum site. Please help!

This happened to me last night. I'm a level 7 assassin and once when I killed him away from the area where he spawns, I couldn't loot him. Had to reload a save, and then I was able to.

Good News Update: After thinking through everything I had done previously, I realized my best bet was to reload a save before entering this last chamber, because (in the spirit of exploration) I think I had also opened the door at the back of the cave before collecting the Word. Anyway, when I did reload and fight him again, I was able to loot him this time!

And btw, speaking of being an assassin... I'm doing the same and loving it. Backstab/Assassin's Blade FTW!
