During the "Blood On The Ice" quest, I have done everything except talk to Viola. I can not find her anywhere. I know I didn't kill her. I have not done any Dark Brotherhood Quests. Also, the get assistance from Jorlief step will not update. I know Calixto is the killer, I have stolen the journal from his home, but it will not let me complete the quest. I have tried every possible thing I can think of to finish this quest. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? Any help would be appreciated!

Well said. I can't even get the quest to start. I've heard so many people complain about problems with this quest, so I am surprised (and very disappointed) that it looks like the patch will not fix the quest. I hope I new patch will come soon...

I agree...it is extremely annoying that I can't finish it. I have bought the house and can't even use it because it won't let me do any of the upgrades. Not to mention the annoying fact that I can't remove it from my quest list...HOPEFULLY they will fix this very soon, or I may stop playing until they do. Tired of the annoyance.

I just ran into the same problem. I need to talk to Viola, but she appears to be stuck underneath Candlehearth. I can see the quest arrow that is supposed to be over her head in the ground when I walk around Candlehearth.

While it does bug me that I spent so much time looking for her only to find her quest arrow stuck in the ground, I suppose I'll just continue on with the game until this gets fixed. I'm also a little bummed that I will not be able to by the house in Windhelm.

You can still buy the house, it is just useless until you finish the quest because you can't upgrade it or anything. I bought the house only to find this out later.

Also, I don't even get a quest marker for her...its like she doesn't even exist in my game. Huge disappointment, because I really want to be able to upgrade/use the house. The armory for it is really nice. (My bf has the game and he was able to buy and upgrade the house...another reason I am so annoyed. LoL)
